How Money Affects Happiness

A recent report from Australian Unity, the longest running and most comprehensive survey on happiness – What Makes Us Happy 2015; has found evidence to suggest that it takes a large amount of money to even slightly increase our happiness.

Interestingly they also found that having a financial debt does not necessarily decrease wellbeing. Further, they suggest that this all comes back to how we manage our finances and the role this can play on our lives.

“The two most powerful things we can do in our lives to maintain a positive sense of wellbeing is to work on our relationships, and manage our finances effectively.”

Based on this finding, is it time that you or one of your loved ones finds the time to see a financial advisor? Need to sort that self-managed super fund sooner rather than later?
